Conlanging refers to the practice of creating a language (hence lang) in order to deceive a person or group of people, usually for money (hence con, as in confidence trick.) The ways in which this can be accomplished are many: for example, selling 'secret' word-sounds (not to be confused with the 4 Forbidden Phonemes), or making the grammar dependant on paying large sums of money to the con artist. Conlanging is, therefore, illegal, and faces heavy penalties.
